This week I realized I hadn't done any photography (for the sake of photography) for about two years, so I had a couple of outings, and I did some. It was just fun using my camera again really.
Work for a live brief from Kaplan Altior, these are images for their calendar for next year, the theme is general inspiring uplifting imagery and also the 2012 Olympics.
Here is my entry for a black and white competition run by a hotel in devon. It is a 60x80cm lithograph based on the wildlife of the devon coast. Because I love the coast.
Finally! This is my animation 'Running Free'. Its an escape story inspired by my visit to Auschwitz in February. Written, drawn, animated and edited by myself, the music and its rights were bought from a stock music website.
An exhibition in Stokes Croft that my 'Memento' work has been displayed in alongside my class mates and some europian entries aswell. This exhibiton is going to travel around six other venues in europe over the coming months. I you have a chance check it out.
Flyers by Rob Catterall and Jamie Jones.
Really good opening night, thanks to everyone involved and particularly Rob Catterall for leading the organization (and making the pimped out gold trolley of free drinks!)
A poster I designed for a Bristol Uni play coming up, I've been to a rehearsal and it looks like its going to be awesome, I'm definitely going to it and I think you should too.
An exhibition put together by Harry Haysom, David Biskup, Jack Cullis, Archie Fitzgerald, Joe Hemming, Thomas Johnson, Matt Higgins and myself. Its in the Start Gallery through Top Deck above Start The Bus, bristol, from 5th- 18th Feb.
My final piece for the memento brief, based on relationships and their passings, using memory foam to momentarily illustrate a couple. Not yet finished as I want the lyrics for Biffy Clyro's Many Of Horror laser etched into the blocks instead of handwritten on paper.
These are the embossings of the lino cuts, made for an exhibition later this year. I love this technique and am already working on more...
